San Francisco will alway have a special place in my heart. Living in the city for four years during college were some of the best years of my life. I met the greatest people and had the beautiful city as my back yard. The vibe of this city is unlike any other place in the world and I truly feel blessed to have lived in such an amazing place. Although I hadn't visited SF in over ten months as soon as I got back it was as if nothing changed, I picked up right where I left off with friends and had great 48 hours. Brunch, Bluegrass and Blogging all took place and I can't wait to go back in a couple weeks.
If I could sum up my previous year in just two words it would have to be: life changing. Exactly a year ago today I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design and Merchandising and a Minor in Marketing. I was lucky enough to land a job as a retail store manager and manage mutli-million dollar stores right out of college. I moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles to pursue my passion for fashion. Fashion has always been a huge part of my life, so the thought of starting a website was an idea I had early on. During my freshman year of college while visiting New York City I had the crazy idea run through my mind. The idea was to start my own fashion website (keep in mind that in 2011 blogging wasn’t as common as it is now, Instagram wasn't even created yet!) My fear of failure and my fear of taking on too much (college/manage a store AND blog) became two major roadblocks that put off creating my website. Fast-forward four years later, as a college graduate currently managing a retail store, I finally launched my fashion blog. Sometimes I wonder how I even have time to sleep, but I could never imagine life without my blog. Anyways, the point of my rambling is to never let anything get in the way of your dreams. As cliché as that sounds, it's 100% true. Hard work and dedication always pay off! This past year has been an incredible journey and I can't wait too see what this year has in store for me, stay tuned there’s a lot more to come!
