As most of you know, I spent my birthday weekend in San Diego. I had thee best weekend celebrating my birthday and it all started with our stay at the brand new Intercontinental San Diego.
The Intercontinental Hotel in San Diego opened just days before we stayed and we got to be some of the first visitors at this location. I loved the modern rooms, marble countertops and the views on the ocean. Upon check in, we received complimentary drink tickets and made our way down to the lobby bar. I ordered the prickly pear and it did not disappoint. The color alone is perfect for the gram, but luckily it tastes as good as it looks! I would 100% stay here again next time I'm in San Diego, Allie and Kiana agree!
Our first brunch took place at Crushed in Pacific Beach. This was recommended by many, mostly because of the mimosa flights. Kiana and I each ordered one, they're only $10 each and you can choose three flavors per one flight. My favorite was the lavender, Kiana's favorite was the ginger lychee. We ordered the rolled pancake - that looks like a cinnamon roll and has icing on top that tastes AMAZING. and we also ordered the chilaquiles. I was actually super impressed with Crushed and would love to go back when I'm in SD next!
My birthday dinner was at Puesto in the Gaslamp District. We ordered a spicy marg pitcher and tacos all around. The ahi tuna guac was amazing. Shortly after dinner we headed to Omnia and danced backstage with Nghtmare, we didn't take any photos because we were having way too much fun!
My actual birthday brunch was at Kettner Exchange in the Gaslamp District. We ordered avocado toast and spicy tuna tacos. Allie and I enjoyed our Aperol Spritz and Kiana ordered a Gimlet. The outdoor eating area is literally the cutest and there was a DJ playing all the brunch jams including Michael Jackson and Beyonce. From brunch we headed to the Hard Rock for a fun little pool party.
I had such a good weekend relaxing, eating and celebrating. Definitely the best way to start off 26! Feel free to shop my travel must haves below.
