I may or may not be sharing these alternatives so some of you can get out of the gym and empty it out for us regulars... lol just kidding, I'm kidding. I wanted to share some of my favorite gym alternatives because it's so so so important to mix it up every once in awhile. First up, hiking at Runyon Canyon.
Hiking is a great way to get outdoors, get a great workout and avoid being inside of the same gym you go to everyday.
Next up, Soulcycle. Soulcycle is something I discovered this year and I am so glad I did. I had never even been to a cycle class until this year, but after attending Soulcycle a few times, I became an addict. I love the energy, music and feeling I have after leaving. It's a total experience and I am going to tr to attend more reguarly this month. If you don't have a Soulcycle near you try and look up a high energy cycle class near you, I know Equinox offers similar classes - still at a gym but a different type of workout.
Another fav of mine, Hot Yoga, or for those who can't take the heat, normal yoga. I think it is super important to practice yoga because there are so many benefits. I especially love hot yoga because the increased temperature allows for a deeper stretch and complete body detoxification.
Last but not least, my favorite, SHOPPING. Yes, a full day of shopping is, in fact, cardio. I grew up marathon shopping with my mom, so she trained me from day one too shop til I drop, literally. Next time you marathon shop check your step counter on your phone, I'm sure you'll be surprised.
What gym alternatives do you like? Nothing against the good ole gym, but sometimes it's nice to venture out.
