This past weekend was spent celebrating my amazing Mother. There are literally no words to describe how much love I have for this incredible woman. She deserves the world and more. Keep reading for more about our weekend...

So we checked into our hotel on Friday and went to dinner at a yummy restaurant with views of the water. little did I know I would come down with food poisoning at 1am... Off to an amazing start, my mom stayed up with me all night while I hugged the toilet :/ She held my hair back AND cleaned up after me, talk about being an amazing mom. My poor dad also had a tummy ache as well. LUCKILY we were able to get over the sickness and bounce back just in time for our Saturday brunch reservation at the Strand House in Manhattan Beach. We had a light brunch, walked the pier, and shopped all the shops in Manhattan Beach. A perfect day spending time with the greatest mom on the planet.

We had dinner at an Italian spot that I saw some great reviews about, Buona vita Trattoria, in Hermosa Beach. The food was impeccable and it is BYOB, so we were able to bring our own wine! (If you follow me on instagram @emilyemig, you might still be able to catch my stories with all the photos we took here!) I got the bolognese and the sauce was to die for, I felt like I was back in Italy. My parents loved it as well, we will definitely be going back.

On Mother's Day we had breakfast at The Kettle in Manhattan Beach and went to Santa Monica to browse Nordy's and walk the 3rd Street Promenade. My parents are now on their way back up to Northern California.

I cherish every moment I have with my Mom, ( and Dad ;) ) and I love spending time with her (them). My mom is my best friend, my number one supporter and the woman who has given me everything and more. There are no words to describe how much love I have for her, and I only hope that, one day, I can be half of the mother that she is. She continues to show me selfless and everlasting love and I admire her more and more everyday.

I hope everyone had a good day celebrating with their mommas, they are the queens of the world.

Happy Mother's Day to all Momma's out there <3
